Guest robbie1 Posted October 31, 2009 Report Share Posted October 31, 2009 good to see the united game kicked started our season :icon_redface: :icon_redface: what a load of shite that game was!!!! hate to say it but the leagues out of reach now i think and if we lose in lyon it dont look good for any cups this season after going out the carling cup at arsenal and the fa cup will be hard to win as it always is. seriously now to all footie fans why do you think we are so shit at the min???? its obviously not missing gerrard as the united game showed but we have lost 5 out of 6 now and its not good enough.. please keep this to the question asked and craigyboy if we play like that at OT you best fill your tank up and head south fella!!!! hope im wrong but not looking good at the min.. robbie Quote Link to post Share on other sites
Mr Jones 4 Posted October 31, 2009 Report Share Posted October 31, 2009 I think the manager has signed + players since he joined Liverpool, you could probably count on one hand the real quality players he's signed (Torres, Alonso??? for starters). Hat's off to him though last season came very close, he's kept them in the top four year after year and got to two CL Final's winning one. I was surprised that he took Torres off at 1-1 away from home today though, obviously with the CL next week in mind? lanesra 3,994 Posted October 31, 2009 Report Share Posted October 31, 2009 most teams playin there rivals (man u. last week) raise there game, so today it was back down to earth with a bang after there win last week gave liverpool fans a real glimmer they had turned there run off defeats round, i think losin gerrard would effect any team but you proved last week you can play and win without him, maybe too many players not allowed to express themselves with the way benitez sets the team up to play, will say carragher every game i see him play could be red carded think he is still ok but not the player he was 3 yrs ago, though he would run through a brick wall for the team, i think benitez has spent alot of money so its his team out there every week, but last yrs fiasco involvin robbie keane makes you wonder what is going on behind the scenes, obviously somethin isnt right . i think if you dont win premiership this season benitez will be gone. Thought last season was the strongest they had been for years . They even broke the mental barrier of being in front at xmas and beating the man utds and chelseas only to drop points against the lesser teams. Think alonso is a massive blow to them and rafa was to quick to get rid of robbie keane. Think someone like defoe would of been a great partner with torres and gerrard in the hole or benyioun. Defencesively there at sixs and sevens conceding goals galore and that ain`t liverpool. But looking at there squad it just is`nt as strong as utds or chelseas they have`nt added the quality thats needed to mount another challenge. Don`t think liverpool will come close this year but one thing with them is never write them off. I fancy chelsea for the title folowed by utd then arsenal with liverpool fourth.
